David's untimely death has come as a terrible shock to us all. He was a delightful man who combined great ability with charm, good humour and unfailing courtesy. He was an extremely well -liked and respected colleague and his loss is already felt profoundly. He cared deeply about Crown Office Chambers and generously and unhesitatingly devoted much time and effort to its administration and the well-being of its members and staff. I valued, and shall miss, his loyal support, companionship and advice. He will be remembered here with great fondness. Goodbye David and rest in peace. Richard Lynagh
