As in house counsel for a dot com I instructed David in the Fortman v Modem appeal matter. I bumped into him on the seafront in Southwold some years later. The appeal was an important part of an epic saga in my professional life. I was relaying that story to a former colleague then googled David only to find he had passed away. I remember him as a very charming and capable man and am saddened by this news. I send my condolences to his family and friends.
