I have had the pleasure of opposing David in two cases in the last year or so, and he also appeared in front of me when I was sitting in the TCC for my first trial as Recorder. All experiences confirmed the view that David was charming, thoughtful, humourous and full of humanity. I am dreadfully sorry that I wont get the opportunity for one of those enjoyable de-brief chats with David when the Award comes out in relation to the most recent encounter. Rest in peace, David; you will be missed.
