I always greatly enjoyed David's company in Chambers , and particularly discussions about the fortunes of his beloved Ipswich Town FC and my own team. I, like so many, am tremendously grateful for David's many efforts on Chambers' behalf - which he provided with unfailing good humour - and for the companionship that we shared over the last few years. His death has come as a dreadful shock to Chambers and his loss will be deeply felt. I send my sincere condolences to his family, Peter
