I was a very junior clerk when I first met David at 4 Pump Court, who was by then an established Silk, he was always lovely and in the years since, remained equally lovely whenever I ran into him - even the time we got stuck in a 3 hour queue for security at a concert in Hyde Park for the Olympics! My thoughts are with Carolyn and all those that knew him best, and may God be with them all in the weeks and months to come.
